“El Callejon Art” introduce the Talavera from “La Corona” workshop, In the village of San Pablo del Monte, in the state of Tlaxcala, the art of working Talavera was unknown. It was not until 1981 that he was born a small workshop by the great Gaspariano Cayetano Corona, who had the knowledge and dedication needed to work pieces as beautiful and authentic as they are cooked in the oldest and most traditional workshops of this ceramic Talavera. Over time the workshop became Talavera factory “La Corona,” which is widely recognized for the quality of its dishes, ceramic jars, pots, vases and platters, among other pieces. All of the Talavera pottery offered is made by hand in Tlaxcala, Mexico, and is 100% lead-free as well as microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. The detail is outstanding, and due to the kiln’s high firing temperature all our Talavera dish-ware is also crack and chip resistant.
